Kevin Priola

As a legislator, Kevin values environmental initiative and election security, and works to pass legislation to honor these beliefs. In August of 2022, he transitioned from the Republican to the Democratic Party to best uphold the importance of these matters within the government.
Kevin resides in Henderson with his wife, Michelle, and their four children.
Senator Kevin Priola represents District 13, Weld and Adams County, in the Colorado State Senate. Senator Priola began his legislative career in the Colorado House of Representatives in 2009 and was elected to the Colorado Senate in 2016. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Joint Technology Committee, Vice Chair of the Transportation & Energy Committee, and as a member of the Appropriations and Agriculture & Natural Resources Committees.
Born and raised in Colorado, Kevin is rooted in his community, and reflects this mindset in his role as legislator by prioritizing small businesses, education, and environmental health. Kevin graduated from the University of Colorado School of Business, and shortly thereafter, joined his family businesses, Priola Greenhouses, Inc. and CAP Land Company. During his time at CU, Kevin was a member of the College Republicans, and later found community involvement as a member of the Commerce City Name Change Committee and as the president, treasurer, golf tournament chairman, and publicity chairman of the Commerce City Rotary Club.
