No veteran should face discrimination for having served. This bill prohibits anyone selling or renting a house, apartment, or other dwelling from discriminating against an individual based on their veterans or military status. 

Veterans Audit Higher Education Courses | HB22-1407

It’s critical we ensure that the brave men and women who have served our country are set up for success and equipped with the tools necessary to transition back to civilian life. This bill helps by requiring an institution of higher education that has a program or policy that permits a person to audit a course offered by the institution for no credit to permit a veteran, as part of the institution's program or policy, to audit a course.

FDA-approved Prescription 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine Drug Use | HB22-1344

Veterans are disproportionately likely to suffer from Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and MDMA-assisted therapy for the treatment of patients with severe PTSD can be highly effective in reducing symptoms.This bill states that if the FDA approves a prescription medicine that contains MDMA and if the medicine gets placed on the schedule of the federal "Controlled Substances Act" other than schedule I or has been exempted, then prescribing, dispensing, transporting, processing or using that prescription drug is legal in Colorado. 

Extend Homestead Exemption To Gold Star Spouses | HCR22-1003

This concurrent resolution refers a constitutional amendment to voters at the November 2022 statewide election. If approved, the amendment expands eligibility for the homestead property tax exemption, currently available to qualifying seniors or veterans with a disability, to surviving spouses of a United States Armed Forces service member who died in the line of duty or veteran whose death resulted from a service-related injury or disease as determined by the United States department of veterans affairs, if the surviving spouse is a recipient of dependency indemnity compensation, beginning in the 2023 property tax year.
